A long time ago, in one of my earliest channeled messages, I was told something I have never forgotten.
‘The day is coming when all hearts must choose. Choose love or choose fear.’
I think about that sentence almost every day now. Because every moment offers the same small choice. The driver who cuts you off. The headline that makes your stomach drop. The body that aches. The grief that surges. The voice in your head that says you are not enough.
In every one of those moments, you can choose love or you can choose fear. You can meet the moment with the smallest sliver of openness, or you can clench against it.
Love does not mean pretending the hard thing is not hard. Love means staying soft inside the hard thing. Love means refusing to let fear be the thing that runs you.
Today, try to notice when one of those moments happens. When you do, pause here and ask yourself: Is there a kinder, more loving way I can respond?
More often than not, there is.
It all begins with taking a simple, calming breath.
