I want to ask you something.
If I asked you right now to connect with your person in Spirit, where would they be?
Above you, far away in some sky? Beside you on the couch? Behind your shoulder? In another room?
There is no wrong answer. But here is my favorite answer, the one I came to slowly over years of seeking:
They are within me.
Not above. Not far. Within.
There is a place inside you — call it the still quiet voice, call it the seat of your soul, call it the special chair within your heart — where there is no distance between you and them. No distance between you and Source. No distance between you and your own deepest knowing.
When you go to that place, they are already there. They have been there the whole time.
You do not have to reach far. You only have to go in.
Close your eyes for one minute. Hand on your heart. Breathe. And ask, are you here?
Listen for the answer that is not your mind.
